Cr(VI) Restriction: Shape the Future of your Industry

How to Engage in the Public Consultations?

WEBINAR

June 5, 2025   |   11 a.m. CET   |   45 minutes

Acting on a formal request from the European Commission, and in order to reduce the exposure risks and the hazard, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is proposing a restriction on 13 Cr(VI) substances, with narrowly defined exemptions.

The use of these substances would be banned except in certain use categories when they meet defined limits for worker exposure and environmental emissions. ECHA has outlined three potential restriction options to limit the use of Cr(VI) substances, each varying in stringency and expected impact.

All stakeholders will be able to provide information and comment on these restriction options during a six-month public consultation, which is expected to start on 18 June 2025.

This webinar will provide you with the important information you need to anticipate your business requirements and advice on how to make your company voice count.

  1. From Authorisation to Restriction: understand the regulatory context and what’s at stake.
  2. Comprehensive analysis of ECHA's restriction proposal: focus on the three restriction options.
  3. How to structure an effective and relevant contribution during the public consultation.

💡 We'll even have a Q&A session, so stay tuned.
